precious girl, will i still be dead in your eyes tomorrow? / would another night change anything at all? / i swear it’s already the third day / or is time twisted in my head like the crown still pressed tight
i wish you’d again let me call you by your name / precious girl, could you ever look at me the same? / i’d give anything if your trust could really be regained
had i become dead in your eyes? / i closed my own & saw something else besides / another place & time entirely, before we were crucified / do you believe in resurrection, or is our fate to die? / would you really test my blood as i drip dry?
will i still be dead in your eyes tomorrow? / would another night change anything at all? / i swear it’s already the third day / or is time twisted in my head like the crown still pressed tight
i swear i’ll control my jealousy & pride / whisper how to regain your trust, & i swear i’ll pay the price / or am i forgiven, forgotten from your mind? / well, girl, you’re very much so still in mine / forgiven, but i never apologized looking in your brown eyes
will i still be dead in your eyes tomorrow? / would another night change anything at all? / i swear it’s already the third day / or is time twisted in my head like the crown still pressed tight
well-aware that night died / & i, i know i can’t expect you to rewind / precious girl, am i dead in your eyes? / you know my heart, but i swear it’s second in line / friend, do you get i regret forfeiting that right?
i swear i’m on my knees at our grave / some of our past can stay buried ’til it decays / but would you really leave us to not rise again?
will i still be dead in your eyes tomorrow? / would another night change anything at all? / i swear it’s already the third day / or is time twisted in my head like the crown still pressed tight
precious girl, am i dead in your eyes? / do you believe in resurrection, or is our fate to die?
