girl (queen of sarcasm)

i bent my words till i thought they’d wrap you in
girl, your red eyes paled against your bare skin
at best, you were used, & made for manipulation
i held your hurting heart just to invite it to my sin

girl, as you left, dirty hands weeded out all emotion
the tears that dripped were just to tease the sun
i wish you’d stayed just to bring our sin to completion
after all, girl, that had always been my mission

girl, i’d rather bleed than give you a moments peace
my dark hollow space was always cold to your heart’s beat
i used your lips, as he’d used another’s for practicing
instigated what i could, so name me your dearest enemy

had i known you’d, i’d have turned our hurt to our chasm
the heartbeat you knew, girl, was just a muscle spasm
your eyes knew me as if i were defined by another’s prism
girl, i guess i learned from the queen of sarcasm
